Welcome to Cedar Mountain Counselling, where the essence of the cedar tree and the strength of the mountain converge to symbolize the transformative journey we embark on together. The cedar tree, deeply rooted and resilient, mirrors the stability and endurance we seek in the face of life's challenges. Like the mountain, our counselling journey is a climb—one that offers both perspective and a sense of accomplishment. Just as the cedar's branches provide shelter, our sessions create a safe space for growth and self-discovery. At Cedar Mountain Counselling, we embrace the wisdom of nature, blending the grounded stability of the cedar with the empowering ascent of the mountain to guide you toward healing, strength, and a renewed sense of self.

We are here to support you in your mental health journey. Whether you are an individual or a couple, we can provide the guidance and care you need. With specialized training in reproductive and perinatal mental health, we are well-equipped to help those facing the unique challenges of infertility, trying to conceive, infant and pregnancy loss, pregnancy, and postpartum. However, we also work with individuals dealing with a variety of mental health struggles.

Located at 230-600 St. Anne’s Rd in Winnipeg, we offer virtual or in-person services. We strive to eliminate barriers to accessing mental health services by being in an accessible building, allowing babies to attend sessions, being breastfeeding-friendly, having an area to warm up formula or human milk, and having a limited number of sliding scale spots.

My name is Breanne Jones (she/her), welcome here!

With over a decade in the mental health and social service field, I have learnt human connection is one of the most significant factors for growth and change. Through a client-centred lens, my goal is to empower and walk alongside my clients in their wellness journey to unlock their true potential.

While I work with individuals with diverse mental health concerns, I have specialized training in reproductive and perinatal mental health with a special focus on infertility, pregnancy/infant loss, NICU families, the postpartum period and supporting couples through the perinatal and parenting phases.

I am committed to providing an inclusive, culturally sensitive, and 2SLGBTQI+ affirming therapeutic space. I recognize and value the diversity of my clients’ backgrounds and experiences.

When we enter this phase in our lives, whether that be trying to conceive or parenthood, we can often lose sight of who we once were, and it can be difficult to get back on track. Whether you are a new parent or a parent of multiple children, you can struggle at any point, and your challenges are valid. As a mother, I believe the perinatal period can simultaneously be fulfilling and challenging.

If you are struggling, it can be difficult to be present and find joy in these significant moments. My goal is to help my clients understand what is happening to them, normalize their feelings, and guide them to the ability to be fully present in their lives again.

If you are struggling through the perinatal period or with other mental health concerns, I would be honoured to help you achieve personal growth and improve your overall mental wellness. I aim to provide an inclusive space and ensure my client feels heard, empowered, and understood. Therapeutic modalities I connect to are a Social Justice and Person-Centred lens and I integrate theories, such as Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory, Narrative Therapy, and Somatic practices. Additionally, I will also be completing my certification in EMDR and the Gottman Method by the end of 2024.
