Welcome to Cedar Mountain Counselling

Rooted like the cedar tree and steady like the mountain, our name reflects the heart of what we offer: a grounded, compassionate space for healing, growth, and self-discovery. Just as the cedar provides shelter and the mountain offers perspective, we’re here to support you as you navigate life’s challenges—one step at a time.

Whether you're coming as an individual or couple, we’re honoured to walk alongside you. We specialize in reproductive and perinatal mental health, supporting those facing infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, pregnancy, postpartum, and the transitions of parenthood. We also support a wide range of mental health concerns with care and expertise.

Located at 501–1020 Lorimer Blvd in Winnipeg, we offer both in-person and virtual sessions. Our space is accessible, baby-friendly, and includes a private area for feeding or warming milk. We also offer complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks, and have a limited number of sliding scale spots to help reduce financial barriers.

You’re welcome here—just as you are.

Hi, I’m Breanne Jones (she/her)—welcome!

As a Certified Canadian Counsellor with over a decade of experience, I’m here to help individuals navigate life’s challenges and transitions. I believe the heart of therapy lies in creating authentic, human connections, and my goal is to provide a warm, supportive space where you feel safe to share and explore.

I hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, and while I work with individuals with diverse mental health concerns, I have specialized training in reproductive and perinatal mental health with a special focus on infertility, pregnancy loss, hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), pregnancy after loss, birth trauma, infant loss, NICU experiences, postpartum mental health struggles, and paternal mental health. I’ve also deepened my specialization with additional training in reproductive and birth trauma, earning my certification as a Canadian Certified Birth and Reproductive Clinical Counsellor (CC-BRT).

My own experiences with pregnancy loss, pregnancy after loss, hyperemesis gravidarum, birth trauma, and being a NICU parent have given me a deep, personal understanding of how profoundly the reproductive and perinatal period can affect individuals and families. These experiences shape my compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy, allowing me to offer meaningful support during life’s most challenging transitions.

I’m committed to offering an inclusive, culturally sensitive, and 2SLGBTQI+ affirming space. Recognizing that healing looks different for everyone, I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs, drawing on approaches like Internal Family Systems, EMDR, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Somatic practices. I’m also trained in the Gottman Method, certified as a Bringing Baby Home Educator.

Based in Manitoba, I offer both in-person and virtual sessions, as well as telehealth services to clients across Canada. Whether you’re looking for support close to home or from a distance, I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey.

Hi, I’m Ria Sharma (she/her), a Canadian Certified Counsellor with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I’ve spent the past few years supporting adolescents, adults, and seniors as they navigate a range of mental health challenges—including anxiety, depression, grief, and self-esteem concerns. I also have specialized training in trauma, which deepens my ability to hold space for clients in a way that’s grounded in safety, compassion, and understanding.

At the heart of my work is a strong belief that our emotions shape the way we move through the world. I offer a client-centred, relational approach, where people can feel seen, heard, and supported as they explore their inner experiences and life’s challenges. My therapeutic style is eclectic and flexible, drawing from approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy—always guided by what feels most supportive and meaningful for each individual.

Having lived in different parts of the world, I value and respect the richness of diverse perspectives and experiences. This has helped me connect deeply with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds and lived experiences. I strive to be a steady, compassionate presence for clients as they move through difficult seasons, and to offer tools that help ease the healing journey.

In June 2025, I will be completing specialized training in reproductive and perinatal mental health. This additional focus reflects my deep commitment to supporting individuals and families through the complex, tender, and often transformative experiences of fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and loss.

I speak English and Hindi fluently and understand Punjabi, which allows me to support clients in a way that honours their language and cultural context.

Based in Winnipeg, I currently offer virtual and telehealth counselling sessions. My practice is grounded in inclusivity, and I’m committed to creating a space that is culturally sensitive and 2SLGBTQ+ affirming.
